Mr. Martino has practiced professionally as a Business Process Excellence Consultant, Business Planning Consultant, Strategic Technology Consultant, Product Development Executive, Entrepreneur, Lecturer and Mentor.
Mr. Martino has lectured and mentored at Northeastern University in the Entrepreneurial Master’s Program. The areas in which Mr. Martino has lectured are: Entrepreneurship, Business Life Cycle Management, Advanced Technologies and Strategic Business Application.
From 2002 through 2005, Mr. Martino served as Management Strategies’ key executive in the directing, developing, and productization of technologies including Semantic Logic Model technology. Additionally, Mr. Martino has established close relationships with Academia — most notably, with Columbia University — to ensure a continuing competitive advantage in this, as well as other, technologies. Mr. Martino is also pushing the envelope of Financial Risk Models and the use of Process Modeling, Process Engineering, and Cloud Processing to advance technology’s state-of-the-art use and implementation.
A successful CXO, Business Entrepreneur, Inventor, and Technology Venture investor, Mr. Martino founded TechnoBabble Communications, Inc. (TBCI) with a vision of providing technology that manages complex telecommunication network environments seamlessly, on behalf of applications and processes that need to operate across distributed environments. As CEO of TBCI, Mr. Martino’s core role is to head the group that defines the company’s strategy, establish the strategic partnerships required in all Information Technology endeavors, and ensure TBCI’s products and services are exceeding customer expectations in the areas of quality, timeliness, and usability.
Mr. Martino has played a key role defining TechnoBabble’s first three products (ROAMSecure – a secure service for delivering data over any type of wired/wireless network, RFIDSecure – a secure personal identification system utilizing RFID technologies and IMSecure – a highly secure instant messaging service). The associated technologies and services have been included in a role up and purchase by a large public company. The company may not be named due to the sensitive nature of the transaction and technologies involved. His diligent work also has fostered his company’s relationship with various government agencies in the United States.
As founder and CEO of Luminescence Technologies, Inc. (LTI), Mr. Martino conceived an innovative means of assisting technology firms in bringing products to market while maintaining LTI’s share in the product revenues. With a broad background in full lifecycle product design, development, deployment, and marketing, as well as with having established software development companies in Bulgaria, Mr. Martino positioned LTI to participate in the deployment and support of customer products. A sampling of LTI customers included Progress Software, AT&T, Marconi Plc., Metapath Software International, Digital Corp, Citibank, NASA, Fidelity, Hasbro, Silknet, and Mercury Interactive.
As Sr. VP of its Maxxer Business Unit, Mr. Martino joined Metapath Software International Limited (MSI), a leading international product and service company in the wireless telecommunications industry. Mr. Martino was retained from LTI in a cross-company stock transaction to productize and bring to market the technologies acquired from MSI’s Swedish acquisition. He was responsible for tactical and strategic planning, as well as senior executive customer presentations. When MSI was acquired by Macroni Plc, Mr. Martino returned to LTI, where he negotiated the roll up of two LTI business units, located in Ireland and Bulgaria, as part of the MSI acquisition.
In 1991, Mr. Martino founded Complex Architectures, Inc. (CAI) and developed a message-based communications and connectivity software product for the wireless/wireline marketplace. Sybase acquired CAI in February 1995, only 7 months after commercial introduction of its flagship product. Following the successful sale of CAI to Sybase, Inc., Mr. Martino spent almost a year helping Sybase integrate CAI technology and personnel into its software products and organization. During the transition phase, Mr. Martino served as President of the Enterprise Messaging Business Unit for Sybase. Additionally, Mr. Martino was used extensively by the BOD of Sybase in performing the necessary due diligence of companies and technologies for potential acquisition.
In the preceding decade, Mr. Martino became a successful computer systems/software architect and consultant. Working with advanced information technologies and leading-edge clients, he developed innovative solutions for complex business environments and registered a number of software patents. During these years, Mr. Martino had a series of small product and consulting firms, all of which were successfully sold or acquired by other firms. Additionally, Mr. Martino worked extensively in developing strategic directions in technologies, software, and services for major corporations.
In addition, he has been involved with charity work that provides free healthcare to children in Haiti, an effort that he is extremely passionate about.
